Our Positions

Artificial Intelligence

AI should serve humanity — expanding human capability while preserving dignity, agency, and responsibility.

The Humanity Movement views artificial intelligence as one of the most transformative technologies in human history.

We believe that AI is neither inherently beneficial nor harmful. Like many powerful technologies before it, its impact depends on how wisely it is developed, governed, and used.

Our guiding principle is simple: AI should serve humanity.

We believe AI should expand human capability while preserving human dignity, human agency, and human responsibility. Technology should help people think more clearly, communicate more effectively, solve problems more creatively, and cooperate more successfully—not replace human judgment or undermine it.

The Humanity Movement sees AI as a powerful tool for strengthening our capacity to cooperate. Used responsibly, it can help bridge language barriers, improve education, support scientific discovery, reduce misunderstanding, and enable people from different cultures and backgrounds to work together more effectively.

At the same time, we recognize that AI presents significant challenges. It can amplify misinformation, deepen inequalities, concentrate power, and create new risks if developed or deployed without appropriate safeguards. These challenges deserve thoughtful, evidence-informed, and internationally coordinated responses.

Because AI is evolving rapidly, we do not claim to have final answers. We are committed to learning, encouraging open dialogue, and adapting our understanding as knowledge grows.

Our measure of progress is not whether AI becomes more powerful.

It is whether humanity becomes wiser in how it chooses to use that power.
